Blackline knowledge base

Questions are
part of the process.

Everything you should understand about registration, simulated evaluation rules, account management, billing, support, and reward eligibility.

01

Getting started

Registration, challenges, credentials, and platforms.

What is Blackline Funding?+

Blackline is a simulation-based trader evaluation platform. Participants demonstrate risk control and performance against published objectives and may become eligible for a simulated funded-stage account and performance rewards under a separate trader agreement.

How do I create a trader account?+

Choose Create Account, enter accurate personal details, select your country of residence, create a secure password, and accept the legal terms. Use only one profile in your own legal name.

Which challenge should I choose?+

Choose an account size whose drawdown limits fit your normal risk model—not the largest size you can afford. The proposed Blackline Two-Step route is intended for traders who prefer separate evaluation and verification phases.

When will I receive platform credentials?+

Credentials should be issued after successful payment and account checks. The final delivery target depends on the connected trading-platform provider and must be published before launch.

Which trading platform will Blackline support?+

The current framework is MT5-ready. The final platform, instruments, server time, leverage schedule, and download links will be confirmed before sales open.

02

Evaluation rules

Targets, drawdown, trading styles, and breaches.

How long do I have to complete an evaluation?+

The proposed Two-Step evaluation has no maximum completion period. An account may be closed after 30 consecutive calendar days without an executed trade.

How is the daily loss limit calculated?+

The proposed daily limit is 5% of the initial balance and includes closed results, floating profit and loss, commissions, and swaps. Equity must remain above the permitted threshold at all times. The exact platform reset time will be published before launch.

How does maximum loss work?+

The proposed maximum loss is a static 10% of the initial balance. For a $100,000 evaluation, balance or equity must never fall below $90,000, including open positions and trading costs.

Are EAs and automated strategies allowed?+

Legitimate automation implementing your own strategy is proposed to be allowed. Latency arbitrage, platform-error exploitation, shared third-party bots producing coordinated trades, and server manipulation are prohibited.

Can I trade news and hold over weekends?+

Yes under the proposed Two-Step rules. Gaps, slippage, spread expansion, and reduced liquidity remain normal simulation risks and do not excuse a rule breach.

What happens if I breach a rule?+

A hard breach closes the affected account. If you believe platform data is incorrect, submit an appeal with the account number and evidence within seven calendar days.

03

Rewards & payouts

Eligibility, splits, verification, and requests.

What is the proposed reward split?+

The proposed maximum trader share is 90%. The actual split, progression conditions, minimum request, schedule, and any processing charges will be stated in the funded-stage trader agreement.

How do I request a reward?+

An eligible trader would open the Payouts area, select a compliant account, confirm the amount and destination, complete any required verification, and submit the request for review.

Is KYC required before a first reward?+

Yes. Identity, age, address, sanctions screening, and payment ownership may be verified before a funded-stage account or reward is approved.

Are rewards guaranteed?+

No. Eligibility depends on compliant simulated performance, identity verification, the applicable agreement, and review. Illustrations and calculators are not promises of income.

Are funded-stage accounts live accounts?+

Unless a separate written agreement explicitly states otherwise, funded-stage accounts remain simulated. Blackline rewards qualifying performance according to the trader agreement.

04

Account management

Profiles, multiple accounts, dashboard, and security.

Can I purchase more than one evaluation?+

Multiple evaluations may be allowed within a published aggregate allocation limit. Duplicate identities or profiles created to bypass limits are prohibited.

Can another person trade my account?+

No. Credentials are personal. Account sharing, third-party management, selling access, and coordinated trading across unrelated users are prohibited.

How do I track evaluation progress?+

The Blackline dashboard is designed to show equity, closed results, target progress, daily-loss headroom, maximum-loss headroom, activity, and current phase in one place.

Can I change my email or legal name?+

Security-sensitive details require a support request and may require identity verification. A legal-name change must be supported by appropriate documentation.

What should I do if I suspect unauthorized access?+

Change your password immediately, sign out other sessions when available, and contact support with the account email and approximate time of the suspicious activity.

05

Billing & fees

Payments, refunds, codes, and billing problems.

What does the evaluation fee pay for?+

The fee provides access to the simulated evaluation, account provisioning, performance tracking, platform infrastructure, and support. It is not a deposit or investment.

Is the evaluation fee refundable?+

Before service begins, cancellation may be available subject to applicable consumer law. After credentials are issued or trading begins, fees are generally non-refundable. Verified duplicate charges and billing errors are corrected.

Why might a payment be declined?+

Common causes include an issuer decline, incorrect billing data, geographic restrictions, security screening, unsupported cards, or insufficient funds. Do not repeatedly retry a blocked transaction; contact your issuer or support.

How will discount codes work?+

A valid code must be entered before checkout is completed. Promotions cannot normally be combined or applied retroactively unless the published offer says otherwise.

06

Technical support

Login, credentials, platform access, and incidents.

I cannot sign in. What should I check?+

Confirm the email address, password, keyboard layout, and network connection. Use password recovery if needed. Never send your password or full platform credentials to support.

My trading credentials are not working. What now?+

Confirm the correct platform, server, account number, and password. Copy credentials carefully without extra spaces. If the issue continues, send support a screenshot with sensitive password fields hidden.

What if the dashboard and platform show different figures?+

Platform logs are the primary trading record. Capture both views, note the time and account number, stop trading if risk visibility is uncertain, and submit a technical review.

How do I report a platform problem?+

Include the account number, platform, device, time zone, exact timestamp, screenshots or video, order IDs, and steps that reproduce the issue. Never include passwords or payment-card details.
